History

With over 30 years experience, we’ve learned a thing or two: mainly that our success comes from our clients’ success.

When Jack Emick and Mindy Howard founded their new space planning and interior design firm in 1977, Jack laughs saying that "People gave us three years, at tops." As newcomers to the city with no family or political connections and no portfolio of big, local projects, they succeeded in developing an impressive client list and reputation. In 1992, they joined with top financial facilities planning and design consulting firm Paul Seibert & Associates to create what The Seattle Times described as "a marriage designed in merger heaven."

In the '90s, additional architectural talent Brett Conway and Jim Haack joined the firm to help create what is today a full-service architecture, planning, and interior design firm doing work for clients across the nation and Canada.

Today, our steady growth continues. We continue to add new design, brand, architectural talent, and management to contribute to our success both in and outside our core areas of industry experience - branded retail environments, managed construction, and convention and meeting spaces. Overall, our mission continues to be: to create and support design excellence that promotes the mutual success of our client's businesses and our own.
